The updated Air Jordan 4 Retro 'University Blue' features a suede upper in a well-known shade drawn from Michael Jordan's UNC alma mater. The sneaker's supporting wings and back heel, which are speckled grey and have a raised Jumpman insignia in black, contrast with the vivid blue colour scheme. The woven tongue tag, intended to resemble the jock tag traditionally found on the bottom hem of Jordan jerseys, is adorned with more Jumpman branding.
